These two programs also have three categories under which you can apply. It includes those who have never worked in Canada as a full-time caregiver, those who have a little experience of working as a caregiver, and lastly those who have worked for 24 months as a caregiver in Canada.
- Temporary Foreign Worker: In case you do not qualify for any of the above programs, the only option remaining is applying under the temporary foreign worker program. General requirements for this program include the ability to provide care for a minimum of 30 hours per week. Also, you should be ready to work in the home of your employer. Although it is not mandatory it will be helpful if you have some basic qualifications like certification in a childcare program, a secondary schooling degree, or First Aid and CPR training.
