She’s done it again. Mallika Sherawat is once more the talk of the town following reports that she’s being paid 1.5 crore.

That too for a ten minute cameo in Himesh Reshammiya’s debut film, Aap Ka Surroor. Know all’s however insist that there’s been some mix up, or should we say mess up. The queen, we are told authoritatively has a much longer role in the singer – composer-turned actor’s prem kahani in which she is featured as a femme fatale khalnayikaa. It’s all of 35 minutes! “No way,” asserts a source close to the actor. “It definitely no more than 10 minutes with Mallika grooving to the remixed version of the sholay chart topper, ‘Mehbooba Mehbooba…’. That will be shot later this month as a promotional video for the film. There’s another song, ‘Teri Yaadon mein…..’ but Mallika will not be making any appearance in it.” Himesh, we are told is paying Mallika big bucks for her high star power that he will be using to the hilt in the publicity. With this Rs 15 lakh per minute appearance has shot up the top of the power list as India’s most expensive female actor, or should we say “item” girl.
