Story of a teenager, Buddhaholy.

Teenager Buddhaholy Sui is still fighting against his deportation. The fate of this 13-year old boy who could be forced to leave Australia still remains up in the air.

Buddhist carer Caroline Ho said that letters in support of the 13-year old continues to flood in. Among so many supporters, the strongest support so far had come from Premier David Bartlett and Lisa Singh, who is Workplace Relations Minister.

Ms Ho said that it is great that he is getting this support and this is exactly what they need.

His lawyer, Eugene Alexander, has said that community support and public interest were factors that the Immigration Minister would consider if Buddhaholy’s bid for a residential visa reached that point.

Ms Ho said that Buddhaholy had had a tough time till now and she just wanted him to be provided the opportunity to stay in the country.

Buddhaholy was born in Hobart and he became a Canadian citizen at the age of 10. In September, the Sunday Tasmanian reported that Buddhaholy’s application for residency has been denied.

After this, he was granted a bridging visa that expired on the 3rd of October.

Currently, he is able to remain in the state under an interim visa which will remain in place until the appeal process is over.
