IRCC Accepts the Pearson Test of English (PTE) as a Designated Language Proficiency test for Immigration Applications in Canada

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) recently announced the Pearson Test of English to be eligible for Canadian immigration applications. For all immigration applications, candidates must show their language proficiency in English, except for some Francophone provinces. CELPIP and IELTS General Training were considered to be the designated language tests that economic class applicants must opt for this language requirement. Along with this, TEF Canada and TCF Canada are the two language proficiency tests that are conducted to test the French language capacity.

The Pearson Test of English (PTE) will also be considered one of the language tests the candidates can take to demonstrate their proficiency. PTE is designed by Pearson to judge and determine whether the candidate satisfies the language requirements of the economic class immigration.
