Reasons for Longer Wait Times for Sponsored Spouses in Canada

According to recent developments, now the time period taken for processing spousal sponsorship applications will be much longer. This move has been taken by the federal government and might be a setback for many foreign spouses, not only from outside but also from within Canada. 

Spousal Sponsorship Processing will Take Much Longer Now:

All those foreign nationals who are tying the knot with the Canadians get the perfect chance to become a permanent resident of the country. This happens through the process of spousal sponsorship.

They might have to live for some time on one income only as the foreign partner will not be eligible for the Canadian work permit when the spousal sponsorship applications are being processed.

 Also, during the waiting period, the spouses will not be able to utilize the universal health care coverage of Canada. In such cases, private insurance is the only solution. All these people will not be allowed to leave the country also as this would lead to rejection of their sponsorship application.

Applying for the Spousal Sponsorship is a Tough Decision:

You need to pay attention to the fact that while living away from their wife or husband for a longer time period, or in the complete absence of health care facilities or without the capability to work in Canada, the foreign nationals can have a tough time.
