Details of new Canada immigration rules–Several Changes to Canada Express Entry have been announced. This has been revealed by Canada immigration department-Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. These will increase the grant of Canada permanent residency to high-skilled immigrants and foreign students graduating from Canada institutes.

As per the official sources, new Canada immigration rules shall come into force from 18^th November, 2016.

Indian students comprise nearly 14 percent of total foreign students in Canada. So, India is only behind China as being one of the top source nations. Between the years 2004-2005 and 2013-14, the number of foreign students in Canada went up to 88 percent. So, international students now comprise around 11 percent of total students in Canadian educational institutes.

Changes to Canada immigration rules are aimed at improving the immigration process. So, this  means having an increasingly fair and more responsive Canada immigration process. It aims to address the dynamic requirements and long-term economic requirements for middle class.

CRS changes—CRS(Comprehensive Ranking System) shall be awarding 15 points for one or two-year diploma/certificate. 30 points shall be offered for a diploma/degree/certificate of three years duration or longer. This includes a master’s, doctoral or any professional degree.

Easier transition to Canada permanent residency—More and more former international students shall be able to make transition to Canada permanent residency now. This will be through Express Entry system.

This will also help in easier transition to Canada society permanently for international students. That’s because foreign students shall have well-established social networks in Canada.

Canada immigration minister John McCallum has reiterated that the nation is committed to attract more high-skilled immigrants and help them get Canada permanent residency. This is vital for building and strengthening Canada economy and Canadian society.

McCallum said that changes to Canada Express Entry is among several positive results of the recent changes to Canada immigration system.
