Canada Now Offers Electronic Canadian Citizenship Certificates
The government of Canada now offers Electronic Canadian citizenship certificates, which can be used as an alternative to the physical paper versions. According to the federal government, this new initiative is effective from January 4, 2023. It allows anyone applying for Canadian citizenship or resuming the same to hold Electronic Canadian citizenship certificates in place of paper versions.
These Electronic Canadian citizenship certificates are not travel documents but proof of citizenship. Each certificate will include a certificate number starting with an X, a unique client identifier (UCI), their family name and given name, the date of birth, gender, and the effective date of citizenship.

It needs to be printed on both sides of the page with the orientation set as a portrait.
