Canada, 21^st December: Canada has extended its pilot program for sponsored spouses to help them get Canada open work permits.

This is the latest announcement by Canada Immigration department CIC(Citizenship and Immigration Canada).

Under this program, some common law partners or spouses of Canada citizens and Canada permanent residents are allowed to work while waiting for their Canada permanent residency extension.

Applicants of common law partner or spouse in Canada applying after December 2014 had to provide an application for Canada permanent residency and Canada open work permit as well to Canada immigration department. Applications submitted before the launch of this Canada pilot project in December 2014 enabled spouses to submit application for Canada open work permit.

It took nearly four months time period for getting the application processed by Canada immigration department CIC(Citizenship and Immigration Canada).

Other requirements—Meanwhile, it needs to be worth notable in this regards that all requirements for Canada open work permit must be fulfilled by all applicants. If its found that any applicant has given any adverse information or detail pertaining to the sponsor or the applicant, then such an applicant will be ineligible for getting Canada open work permit.

And if, in any case, the applicant is found not to be admissible, then in such a scenario, the rejection for Canada open work permit application will be made.

Canada open work permits allow the holder to work in Canada.
