Union of Immigrant Entrepreneurs with business opportunities by Joint Funding
Members of Government and business community have taken a big decision by the Union of Immigrant Entrepreneurs with business opportunities by Joint Funding.

The decision has been announced in Fredericton, Canada about the joint funding, due to which the members of Members of Government and business community hopeful that a joint funding will sort out many issues and problems.
All the three Governments- Federal, Municipal and Provincial, have combined to support a pilot project. This program is expected to help find a match for immigrant entrepreneurs New Brunswick directly with business owners who are willing to sell.
The Project, Succession Connect, if successful, will help match business owners with worthy successors to run the business
“Succession Connect” the pilot program is expected to address the following two high priority issues:
1. An ageing workforce looking to retire.
2. The need to attract immigrants to the province.
In an interview the MP of Fredericton, Canada Matt DeCourcey stated few important statements:
“to help newcomers when they come to the region match up with business owners and business looking at people to help with a succession of the business”.
“We need a new generation of entrepreneurs in our community”.
“It’s a great economic opportunity for the region, a great social opportunity to help newcomers”.
Sources say the federal government investing &259,224 via Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA).
There are three other contributions from the following-
1. The New Brunswick Department of Post-Secondary education, training and labour is contributing $102820.
2. The City of Federation is contributing $78,007.
3. The corporate sponsors are contributing $65,720
The Fredericton Chamber of Commerce CEO Krista Ross explained: “Newcomer who takes over existing business or purchases existing business have better success than those that try to start something on their own”.
She further added, “They have a short window of time when they can get things going when they first get here so this can give them a turn-key opportunity to get a business up and running”.
On the day when Union of Immigrant Entrepreneurs with business opportunities by Joint Funding took place, Fredericton Mayer Mike O’Brien said: “We need more people in our city to support everything that is going to happen and this is a tremendous way to bring them in”.
The program is expected to start any day now.
