Wadali brothers injured in accident
Amritsar — Famous Sufi singers, the Wadali brothers, were injured early Monday when their vehicle collided with a stationary truck near this Punjab town.
Puran Chand Wadali, Pyare Lal Wadali and six others were admitted to a nearby private hospital for treatment. The condition of Pyare Lal Wadali was stated to be serious.
The accident took place in the early morning hours when the driver of their Tavera van failed to see a truck parked on the road and hit it from the back.
The Wadali brothers were on their way to Dehradun for a Sufi singing festival.
Puran Chand Wadali was last year awarded the Padma Shri.
