Orissa hospital chief arrested for negligence
Bhubaneswar — The superintendent of a private hospital here was arrested for allegedly not supplying oxygen to a patient who died subsequently.
“Purna Chandra Mohanty was arrested Tuesday and a case of death due to negligence has been registered against him,” an official of the Chandrasekharpur police station told IANS Wednesday.
M.N.S. Behera, a resident of the city, said his father was admitted to the Hemlata Hospital here Aug 11 following chest pain. Behera alleged that his father died the next morning, as he did not get oxygen while he was suffering from breathing trouble, the official said
