CRS points requirement to go down—The CRS point requirement for Canada Express Entry draws is expected to go down over time. It has been maintained that the total intake of Canada economic immigrants through Canada Express Entry will go up after the backlog clearance. This has been forecast by Canada immigration department CIC(Citizenship and Immigration Canada).

It is being further maintained that the high CRS points requirement shall be going down in the coming times. It may be worth mentioned that the high CRS point requirement has been due to increased demand from those having job offers with support from LMIA(Labor Market Impact Assessment).

1,506 candidates received invitation to apply in 20th draw—In the 20th Express Entry draw, a total of 1,506 applicants received the invitation to apply on 13th November this year. Candidates having 484 or higher CRS points got ITAs.

The candidates in the Express Entry pool have welcomed the decrease in CRS point requirement.

Introduce changes to Canada Express Entry process—Canada PM to New Canada Immigration Minister—Canada PM has asked the newly appointed Canada Minister of Immigration, Citizenship and Refugees to introduce changes to Canada Express Entry process.

Canada PM Justin Trudeau has asked Canada Immigration Minister John McCallum to introduce changes to Canada Express Entry system on a priority basis. He sought new rules to offer additional points for providing more opportunities to applicants having Canadian siblings.

Although, its not yet clear as to when will the changes take place and how will they affect the CRS. Meanwhile, its quite likely that Canada will have rules to offer additional points to applicants with Canada siblings soon.

New Compliance rules, penalties for Canada employers from 1st December, 2015—Come 1st December, 2015 and Canada will be introducing new compliance penalties and rules for Canada employers.

So, Canada employers shall be subject to new tougher rules of Canada TFWP(Temporary Foreign Worker Program) and Canada IMP(International Mobility Program). These rules shall be administered by Canada immigration department CIC and ESDC(Employment and Social Development Canada).
