UK to end ‘right to family life’ abuse

United Kingdom, 9th April: UK Home Secretary Theresa May is going to end the misuse of human rights rules which enable foreign criminals to avoid moving out of the UK.

New UK immigration rules in July—New ruling of UK immigration will come into force from July 2012 onwards. As per new rules, foreigners found to be involved in committing any crime or abusing UK immigration rules will neither be allowed to support them nor be permitted to stay in the UK.

May alleges foreign criminal are abusing UK immigration rules to escape deportation from the UK. The decision by May comes after UK Home Office consultations concerning the human right( as stated in Article 8) to respect for family and private life.

Changes will prevent deportation in exceptional cases--The UK government is going to bring to an end such rules shortly and will restrict prevention of deportation in exceptional cases for immigrants.

May feels confident that changed UK immigration rules will prevent foreign criminals from avoiding deportation through the right to a family life.

It is a big loophole being used by a large number of foreign criminals to avoid deportation from the UK. May said the ECHR(European convention on human rights) will be restricted to only ‘exceptional and rare cases’. So, come July and the abuse of right to family life will come to an end.

This immigration rule will make sure human rights are, no longer, breached by anyone for keep staying in the UK.

Judges will have clear specifications that the right to family life cannot prevent deportation of any foreign criminal found to be convicted of any criminal offence, breached immigration norms or found incapable of funding themselves and their families.

May confident of wide support--The UK Home Secretary May is confident about getting support from public as well as politicians alike.

As per present UK immigration norms governing the EU, free movement of people is a right for anyone who is a member of any EU nation. Such migrants can travel and stay in the UK for a period of 3 months without any need for getting nod from the UK immigration authorities.

And this certainly means a big loophole in the UK immigration rules since the UK government cannot , by any means, control of inflow and outflow of people into the nation. These rules came into effect in 1994 after the Conservative Party.
