Husain’s compliment enhances Amrita’s image

Mumbai — Renowned painter M.F. Husain is raving about Amrita Rao’s pristine beauty in her last movie “Vivah” and the actress says his admiring comments take her girl next-door image to another level.

The painter calls her the youthful face of the ultimate Indian woman.

“It is the best compliment of my life,” said Amrita who is very proud of her image. It takes courage not to expose when the norm is to wear mini clothes to grab attention.

She is now looking forward to David Dhawan’s “Hook Ya Crook” in which she is paired with “Rang De Basanti” fame Siddharth and E. Niwas’ “My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves”.

Koena pulls engagement prank

Recently Koena Mitra pulled off successful prank on her colleagues with very little effort and tricked them into believing that she is getting engaged.

Koena sent SMS writing: “I know this may shock and surprise you but you are invited for my engagement on Feb 29 at J.W. Marriott Hotel. Invites will reach you soon, please message me your address.”

Most of her friends failed to notice anything unusual about the date ‘Feb 29′ and the actress received more than 45 SMSs in response to her invite.

Her friends’ lack of attention added up to a satisfying and an unusual experience for the actress.

Naseer, Anupam, Jimmy and Rajpal’s ‘Wednesday’ meet

Stalwarts Naseeruddin Shah and Anupam Kher and talented actors Jimmy Shergill and Rajpal Yadav are going to team up for director Neeraj Pandey’s “Wednesday”.

Set on a particular Wednesday, the drama is placed almost in real time and boasts of unique theme. The story, written by Pandey, takes place between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. on a Wednesday in Mumbai.

The film is a joint venture by Anjum Rizvi Film Co. and Friday Filmworks and is slated to go on floors in the first week of April. The remaining cast will be finalised soon.

Rizvi has previously produced films like “Charas” and “Ahista Ahista”.
