Rakshanda (her name means radiant in Persian) Khan, better known as Mallika of ‘Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin’, is one of the most glamorous babes to have entered the Indian TV scene.
This Pathan girl from Mumbai started modeling after completing her college and has done several print and TV assignments. The hot babe turned to television with ‘Kya Hadsa Kya Haqikat’ of Balaji on Sony. However, it was her superb portrayal as the always perfectly dressed villainess, Mallika that brought her fame.
Her association with the queen of hearts, Ekta, is since a long time. She is currently acting for the latter’s ‘Kyonki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’, where she plays the role of Tanya. She is also seen in ‘Kasam Se’, another Ekta Kapoor soap, as Roshni.
Rakshanda is one talented girl. Besides being a wonderful actor, she is good in anchoring as well and has anchored a number of shows. She presented Indian Idol ‘Taka Tak’. She is currently hosting ‘Jodee Kamaal Kii’ on Star Plus.
As a child, Rahshanda admired Imran Khan. She even admits that he was her first crush. She had her whole room filled with the Pakistani all rounder. As for now, Irfan Pathan tops her list.
She spends her leisure time reading books and watching Hindi and Hollywood flicks. She even loves music, but just Hindi music. Well, she admits that English songs are a strict no-no as she can’t understand them.
