People paying for Bringing Family Re-unification Applications on Top
Canada, 20th January: Those wanting to bring their parents or grandparents to Canada are paying as much as $40 for making sure their applications come on top of the pile.
Yes, that’s quite true. Latest reports reveal that applications more than available spots had flooded Canada’s family immigration program.
People paying for getting applications on top—More and more people wishing to bring their parents or grandparents to Canada are paying up around $400 for getting their applications on top of the pile of Canada immigration program.
This is being done to ensure the applications get on top of the long pile of first-come, first-served Canada immigration scheme.

People are reportedly paying around $400 for bringing the applications of their parents or grandparents on top of the long pile of immigration scheme.

This has been revealed by a latest report in this regard.
Applicants are paying local courier firms nearly $400 and wait for hours together outside the processing center and get their applications delivered at the earliest. The first-come, first-serve federal immigration program has witnessed delivery services asking around $400.
While some are alleging it as unfair, others feel it may become worse in the next year unless the government of Canada does something to address the issue at the earliest.
Concerns over first spots in reunification program going to those who pay—There has been a serious concern with regard to the first spots in Canada reunification program going to those who can pay.
Backlog in Canada reunification program is due to a three-year pause on acceptance of new Canada parent and grandparent sponsorship applications in the year 2011. There was a cap of 5,000 on total of number of applications for Canada parent and grandparent sponsorship program after it opened in the year 2014.
After the receipt of 5,000 applications, the government announced closure of Canada parent and grandparent immigration program with acceptance of new files only in case of any of 5,000 applications were found to be incomplete.
As of now, Canada immigration department CIC(Citizenship and Immigration Canada) is holding nearly 14,000 applications received after the program was opened on 4th January, 2016.
So, it is quite likely that until and unless the government of Canada does something to address this issue with some serious steps, the issue will worsen in the coming times. That’s because everyone(applicants) will be knowing about small firms and they(courier firms) will make good of this bargain by charging exorbitant charges(as much as $1,000) and just deliver all the applications.
The entire Canada reunification program is in need of an overhaul keeping in view the importance of the value grandparents and parents bring to Canada.
