Minimum CRS Score drops by 2 points in the recent Express Entry draw!

On 9th November, the government of Canada recently carried out its Express Entry draw in which Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) provided 4,750 immigrant candidates with the invitation to apply (ITA). The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score for this draw is 494 which is 2 points lower than the minimum CRS score of the draw issued on 26th October, this year.

For this draw by Express Entry, programs like the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), and Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) were considered for inviting the applicants. Due to the limiting circumstances created by the COVID-19 pandemic, these Express Entry draws were halted in December 2020 which led to a big backlog in Canadian immigration processes. During this time, candidates were invited to apply only through the CEC or Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) which also was later stopped in September 2021.

After Express Entry draws were restarted on 6th July 2022, a total of 26,250 invitations to apply were issued until now. According to the immigration plans released by IRCC, 82,880 immigrants are expected to be given PR status in Canada. This is caused by the increasing labor crisis in Canada, making it a suitable time for newcomers to Canada.
