The Entry of Illegal Immigrants into the UK

There has been an increase in the estimated number of stowaways who gain entry into Britain through the ports located on Britain’s south coast. The count is seeing a steep rise every year and this is mainly because of the increase in people-trafficking taking place from North Africa all through the Mediterranean. Calais criminals profit from the movement of people from North Africa into the UK and what gets traded here is the aspiration and dreams of people. Since the year 2015, approximately 40000 or more people have gained entry into Europe, and the transport of people is done mainly via huge shipment or cargo containers.

Also, trafficking gangs make use of small yachts and boats to enable the landing of migrants in specific isolated areas on the coastline of Britain. These gangs intimate the migrants to move to ports like Le Havre, Dieppe, and Santander which are in Northern Spain, and from these ports, ferries that head to Newhaven, Rosslare, and Portsmouth in Ireland are targeted. In order to prevent such trafficking and illegal movement of drugs and people, the UK Border Force has boats that patrol around the coastline.
