Greater Victoria calls for volunteers to combat COVID

Fighting for humanity

Let's make a difference together

The most affected during the global pandemic- COVID-19 are the senior citizens and the disabled who have no means of sustaining the day-to-day activities without help. Home to some of the best old-age homes and shelters, the Greater Victoria region is calling out for volunteers to help the government cope with the issues senior citizens and the critically ill are facing. To be specific, the following organizations are looking for some help:

Volunteer Victoria:

The organization calls for volunteers, willing to help the community with any kind of activity- from helping the elders on sick bed to doing the groceries for them. There is a wide requirement for those who wish to indulge in selfless service for the community. During the COVID, it is extremely important to stay together to be safe. This is possible only if we come together to stand by each other in the time of need. Humans stand out for their humility, humanity, courage and support that they promise to each other in time of need.

Seniors Serving Seniors:

The organization has been serving seniors for the past 40 years and are in urgent need of volunteers who can help shop for groceries and deliver to vulnerable seniors and those who are disabled. The organization in its ad post has promised to provide the essential kit required for the safety of the volunteers. A quick background check would be done online before registering the volunteers.

Victoria Community Resources Society:

This community offers a great experience in leadership and service if youngsters wish to enhance their profiles. The society provides residential and community support of adults living with different abilities and calls for volunteers to join in the board of directors for a few hours every day or every month in some cases.

Leadership Victoria:

The society is calling for eager individuals who want to make a mark in the field of community work and social entrepreneurship. These individuals should strive to make their communities and society better sacrificing their own interests. The organization is looking out for board members who can form an integral part of the community with the scope of expanding their network

Special events
