Occupation List Updated By The Canadian Government

The Canadian government updated the occupation list eligible under the global talent stream.

As per the recent update, two propositions have been removed from this please and computer network technicians profession has been added (NOC 2281)

The occupations which were removed as follows:

Architecture and science manager (NOC 0212)

Engineering managers (NOC 0211)

ESDC or employment and social development Canada, the federal ministry set that the update in occupation list for study in order to ensure that it continues to reflect the labor market of Canada as well as the requirements of the innovative companies.

Huge demand of labors for the jobs in the occupational list.

This list of occupation actually applies to Category B of the Global Talent Stream. According to Employment and Social Development Canada, there is a huge demand of labors for the jobs in the occupational list. On the other hand, the supply of domestic workers having the required skills is also insufficient.

Employers of Canada looking forward to hiring workers from foreign lands on this list will benefit from the work permits which can be easily obtained within 14 days in exchange for the commitment to increase training investments and skills for permanent residents and Canadians.

A facilitated Labour Market Impact Assessment can be submitted by the employers using the Category B that simply helps to waive off the requirements in order to prove that they had initially tried to recruit labors from the Canadian market as well as the permanent Canadian residents.

Labour Market Impact Assessments can be processed within 2 weeks.

ESDC said that the submissions for occupations which have been removed from the Global Talent Stream will be accepted only till August 4, 2019.

Global Talent Stream

The Global Talent Stream offers the employers in Canada with easy access to the temporary foreign workers having experience in the occupations enlisted in the Global Talent Occupations List in Technology, Information Technology and Science and Engineering and Mathematics.

This stream has been used by the employers Canadian in order to hire 24,000 skilled foreign workers approximately since its inception as a two-year pilot program in the year 2017.

In March 2019, The Global Talent Stream was declared permanent.
