  1. Toilets and other hygiene facilities are at short-

The federal government is not where near to accept this crisis as a Humanitarian crisis. Female immigrants facing problems with hygiene as toilets and shower are at short. Only two restrooms are available in which people are doing chores like showering, laundry or brushing. Mere 18 toilets are there for 2000 people and one can imagine the condition and the hygiene is compromising at every point. Tijuana government promised the people the portable showers in the coming time.

With water, food is equivalent important to sustain life. Along with food and water, medical services are equivalent important. With no hygiene especially for a female, the medical services are necessarily required which are not available in the proper sense at the Border.

  1. Temporary shelters provided are not well equipped-

Many of immigrants who are supposed to move but they took shelter near the border’s fence which troubles the residents. Seeing the situation the government moved the immigrants to a playground which is equipped with tents with thin Mattresses. Some have taken shelter with their own tents on Baseball ground.

  1. Taking an advantage many are looting immigrants in exchange of basic requirements-

People around here have started a mere business over the basic requirement of the immigrants. The exchange offer is for phone chargers for mere 40 pesos, cigarettes are for 2 pesos.

  1. Hunger leaving people to choice but to protest-

One of the immigrants-Hector Osorto came forward to protest giving the example that people are waiting in the queue for the sandwiches which create chaos because the last ones don’t get anything to eat. Nearby places like Rosarito are coming for help but many claimed that immigrants are giving food two times only. He added that he left his country only because of hunger and poverty still he is facing the problem.

According to him, it is a well-rehearsed plan in which such punishments are given just to demotivate the immigrants to go back to their respective countries.

  1. Children are being sexually and mentally abused-

Children are known for their innocence and which attract many of the gang coercion. Children are being forced to gang up and if they deny for the same they are abused sexually. Their innocence being compromised as they are being threatened and they are seeing their families being killed.

  1. Continuous torture being faced by LGBTI people-

Researchers from Amnesty International, have giving regular visits to the shelter, they reported the abuse related to LGBTI people. They reported that two transgender being arrested forcefully by the municipal police and got detained from the entry port.
