New Zealand Immigration Points System—First thing that all aspirants to New Zealand through Points based system need to know is that they need to have 100 points for eligibility conditions. These points are needed to gain New Zealand Permanent Residency under the category of skilled migrants.

Allocation of points under New Zealand points selection system—So, highest points offered to any applicant under New Zealand points selection system is 60 points for any single attribute. These are for those working in any skilled New Zealand job for a period exceeding one year or even more. Moreover, such applicants also need to have at least a masters degree or a doctorate degree.
50 points are offered to those having an offer of job or those already working in a skilled occupation for less than one year. Anyone with a degree also gets 50 points under New Zealand Points Selection System.
40 points are for those having a diploma or a trade qualification.
Applicants aged between 20 and 29 years are offered 30 points. Similarly, applicants having 10 years work experience in any skilled employment also gain 30 points.
25 points are offered to those aged 30 and 39 years. Those having eight years of skilled work experience are also offered 25 points.
20 points are for those aged between 40 and 44 years. Moreover, those having six years skilled work experience also gain 20 points. Those having their partner in any skilled employment or a job offer in skilled occupation and those having a partner with a degree also get 20 points.
Five points are offered for applicants aged between 50 and 55 years. Any individual aged more than 55 years must not apply for New Zealand under its points selection system.
Automatic selection of applications with more than 140 points—Those earning more than 140 points get selected automatically. Consideration is also given to those getting 100 and 140 points.
175 points are offered to those aged between 30 and 39 years(25 points) having a doctorate/masters degree(60 points), work experience in skilled job in New Zealand exceeding one year(60 points) and 10 year work experience in skilled job(30 points).
