12 oz.pasta, uncooked
8 oz. boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
8 oz. mushrooms, sliced
1/2 cup diced red bell pepper
1 1/2 cups mayonnaise
3/4 cups milk
1/4 cup pizza cheese
3 tablespoons minced fresh basil or 1 tablespoon dried basil
1 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper

1. Put pasta in water and heat until tender.
2.Put oil in a pan. Add chicken and saute over medium heat, stirring frequently, until chicken is golden brown and cooked through, about 4 minutes. Remove chicken from the pan.
3.Put some more oil in the pan and add the mushrooms and red pepper; saute until tender, about 5 minutes.
4.Combine the mayonnaise, milk, cheese, basil, and pepper in a small bowl. Add to the vegetables in the pan. Add the chicken too, stirring constantly, and heat over medium heat until thoroughly heated.
5.When pasta is done, add the contents of the pan to the pasta and mix well.
