I am happy I immigrated to Canada

Canada is not a perfect country, but it is a country which is very close to being a perfect country. Which other country in the world has been left untouched by terrorism, except Canada. This is not by chance or default. The credit goes to no-nonsense policies of the government here. Its policies give more protection to rights of minorities as Sikhs, Muslims, Jews etc than these communities get in their home country, yet this is done in such a way that it does not offend sensibilities of majorities.

It is not without any reason that Canada is consistently ranked as one of the top countries in the world in which to live. Canadians are blessed with an enviable standard of living, a free health care system, and a society that is multicultural and law abiding. Of course there are isolated instances of lawlessness especially in areas dominated by Chinese, Mexicans, etc, but these are handled gently but firmly. I must say the blend of softness and yet being firm is to be seen to be believed.

The only reason, Canada can be tough for some to settle is that its industry is not yet fully grown as of America. One of the major reasons for this could be that 80% of the Canadian population is settled within 200 kilometers distance from major American cities. Major industrial products are imported from US. Thus Industry in Canada has room to grow. In fact, the Canadian government is making great efforts to attract skilled immigrants to assist in Canada’s economic growth. Immigrants are welcomed here not only by the government but by Canadian citizens, many of whom are first and second generation Canadians themselves.

Since September 2006, Rules for skilled workers eligibility have even been made simpler. Application for this category is made simpler and less expensive. You don’t need any more to hire an expensive advocate if you meet certain criteria. You can even complete the application yourself. Under the new system, you are only required to submit a Simplified Application Form to start the process. This initial filing allows applicants to gain entry to Immigration Canada’s processing queue with the expenditure of very little time and money.

You can even complete the eligibility process within two to three years, that is, before your case is formally selected, and you are asked for documents in support of your case.

It is important that people desiring to immigrate to Canada take advantage of this new change in the regulations and get into the processing queue as soon as possible since it is likely, with the lower entry barriers, the immigration queue will fill up quickly.
