Getting a study Permit

For a person who has done post secondary studies in India ort Pakistan, how to can get Study Permit?

One can get Study permit to study in Canada. More than 130,000 students come to study in Canada every year. In addition to this number are many more that come to Canada to learn English or French.

Most foreign students will need a Study Permit to study in Canada. There are some exceptions:

There are benefits to having a Study Permit. If he has a valid Study Permit, he can
work part-time on campus at the college or university at which he is registered as a full-time student; and apply to renew his Study Permit from within Canada, if he decides to continue studying in Canada.

Two steps are involved to apply and get Study Permit.

Step Number one: He needs an acceptance letter from a Canadian College or University.

Step number Two: He needs to apply for Study permit at the local Canadian Immigration Office.

He should apply as soon as he receives his letter of acceptance from the educational institution. The time needed to process an application to study in Canada may vary at different visa offices.

He is required to submit the visa officer abroad the documentary evidence about his capacity to pay the fees for his courses during the period of his study and to meet other financial obligations along with his application for Study Permit. He is also required to convince the Visa officer that he would come back after the completion of his study.
