Health Benefits of Tea

Tea is a beverage made by sousing some processed leaves, buds, or twigs of the tea bush (camellia sinensis) in hot water for a few minutes and it is appreciated for its ancient heritage which is quite a reason for pushing it to the fore.

Of late, many studies and research has been done on studying the health benefits of tea.

It is a natural source of caffeine, catechins, and thaeanine and has almost no carbohydrates , fats or proteins.

The aroma in the tea is due to some active ingredients like caffeine , in combination with the tannin.

The green tea is effective in case of :

High cholesterol

Cancer including skin cancer, lung cancer, pancreatic cancer, stomach cancer and liver cancer.

Diabetes

Weight Loss

Some scientists have even agreed on the fact that that it is a good agent for relieving fatigue and helps in clearness and transparency of thought.

Some studies in China and Japan have shown that the tea bucks up a longer life.

Unlike coffee, it does not cause nervousness, insomnia, or stomach irritation when drunk in quantity.

Tea also helps stave off tooth decay in several ways. It contains a solid dose of fluoride and works better than the antibiotic tetracycline.

Black tea reduces the risk of skin cancer.

Certain herbal teas claim to combat or soothe many maladies.

Herbal tea called the tisanes are not teas at all, but infusions of various herbs , flowers and spices.

Drinking tea even reduces stress !

It can therefore be called nature’s tranquilizer as it dulcifies the stress and lifts the spirits.

Who minds staying healthy just by sipping a leisure cup of tea !!
