Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan is working on fixing her relationship with her dad Michael.

Michael is right now in prison and now she is trying to repair her relationship with him after many yaers of friction. He wrote an encouraging letter to Lindsay from prison while she was in a rehabilitation centre, reports newsweek.com.

A friend of Lohan said: "It was such a welcome surprise, Lohan was certainly touched and a little choked up."

The friend added that Lohan is still being careful but is happy that her father is back in her life.

Lindsay had checked herself in rehab to get over her alcoholism addiction.
