London - Supermodel Kate Moss's career looked in increasing peril on Thursday as the British cosmetics group Rimmel became the latest in a string of brands to review or scrap contracts with her after allegations that she took drugs. Rimmel, for whom Moss has been the official "face" since 2001, said it was deciding whether to sever its links with the 31-year-old following the claims in newspapers. "Rimmel London is shocked and dismayed by the recent press allegations surrounding Kate Moss's behaviour. We are currently reviewing her contract," a spokesperson said. A string of fashion and cosmetics chains have dropped Moss since a newspaper published stills last week from a video film apparently showing her snorting cocaine. On Wednesday, upmarket British clothes and accessories group Burberry joined Swedish-based fashion retail giant H&M in scrapping planned promotional campaigns using Moss. The same day, French fashion house Chanel said it would keep up a current advertising campaign using Moss until the end of October, though it had no plans for now to extend the association. In little more than a week, Moss's career - one of the longest-enduring and most successful in modelling history - has virtually crumbled. It began on September 15, when the Daily Mirror newspaper published the pictures of the model apparently taking the drug in a music studio where her rock star boyfriend Pete Doherty was recording tracks with his band. Doherty is himself a self-confessed drug addict and was thrown out of his previous group for repeated substance abuse. The scandal has badly hit the earning power of Moss, a mother of one who began modelling as a teenager and according to one report made five million dollars in the 12 months from June 2004. Moss has made no comment about the allegations and is currently believed to be hiding from the press.
