If you plan to come to Jaipur next month, think twice: hotels here are reporting full house thanks to the International Cricket Council (ICC) Champions Trophy.

The Sawai Mansingh stadium here will host six one-day international matches including a semi-final.

Owing to the cricket carnival, about 100 rooms would be exclusively required per day to cater for players, experts and other foreign delegates.

In addition, tourists would be in plenty, both for the matches and on vacations.

The maximum requirement of 175 rooms would come up Oct 15 when six teams including India, Pakistan, England, Zimbabwe and Bangladesh along with a qualifier team would be in the city.

Heavy rush for rooms is also expected Nov 2, the day of the semi-final. About 70-100 rooms are to be booked from Oct 30 to Nov 3.

"Almost all the five-star and four-star hotels in October are more or less full," said R.S. Rathore, general manager, Hotel Mansingh.

"The city has over 750 rooms in the five- and four-star categories. Going by the present status, these hotels are reporting bookings to near full capacity," said Ajay Agarwal, president of the Hotel and Restaurant Association of Rajasthan.

He said the ICC had made a majority of these bookings, and the final picture would emerge only in a fortnight.

"The trophy has been scheduled amid peak tourist season. The city already runs short of accommodation during this season. The additional requirement would lead to a crisis situation," said Karan Singh, a tour operator.
