It has been noted that many times, such unauthorized immigration consultants charge fee from aspiring immigrants to Canada although they do not have membership of ICCRC(Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council)-a body designated under Canada Act.

So, such ghost immigration consultants do not have any training for providing immigration services to would-be immigrants.

But, they take undue advantage of innocent immigration applicants and breach the criminal code of conduct. This is giving a bad name even to authorized Canada immigration consultants who are members and authorized to practice immigration consultancy services in Canada.

Ghost immigration consultants(unauthorized immigration consultants without any training or membership of Canada’s registered immigration body) are tarnishing the image of registered and authorized immigration advisers.

Authorized designated body of Canada immigration consultants has raised the issue of damaging impact of crooked and unauthorized immigration consultants on the regulated immigration consultants profession.

Practice without a license—an offence—It needs to be noted that under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, it is a serious offence to practice without any authority to do so. So, anyone who is not a member of the ICCRC offering immigration advice to aspiring immigrants is liable for two years penalty(maximum) or a fine of $100,000 if found guilty.

As per the reports, around 372 unauthorized immigration representatives were found to be practicing unlawfully as immigration consultants in Canada.

This was the result of investigations led by RCMP and CBSA (Canada Border Services Agency)into practices of unlawful immigration representatives allegedly involved in offering immigration advice to aspiring immigrants.

Get the services of regulated Canada immigration consultants—So, it is being advised that all aspiring or would-be immigrants to Canada need to seek the advice and services pertaining to immigration only from RCICs(Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants).

Why? Because such immigration advisers possess the requisite education and the expertise needed for offering best immigration advice and services to their clients. And they also make sure to abide by the code of ethics while offering immigration advice to the would-be immigrants to Canada.
