Shimla -- A woman in Himachal Pradesh has sought justice after being allegedly gang raped by her husband and two of his friends.
The woman, living in a village near Panta Sahib in Sirmaur district, some 180 km from here, has lodged a complaint with the Yamunanagar police in Haryana.
But when the police did not take any action, she approached the state women's commission, saying her husband - who lives in Haryana - had committed the crime because he had been demanding dowry from her parents.
According to the complaint with the women's commission, the woman was raped in the fields near her parents' house.
"We have written to the police chief of Yamunanagar to take proper action," Krishna Tandon, chairperson of the state Women's commission here, was quoted as saying in media reports Saturday.
