Stunning Angelina Jolie rules People’s ‘100 Most Beautiful’
Angelina Jolie - the pillow-lipped actress and one of the most popular women in Hollywood who rules millions of hearts across the world graces the cover of People's "100 Most Beautiful People" issue, which hits newsstands Friday. It's her fourth time on the list, but first as cover girl.
And according to People magazine, Jolie's got that pregnant glow, but it is Angelina Jolie's humanitarian efforts that make her most radiant. "She looks the most beautiful when she's in the field natural, no makeup, nothing," the magazine quotes musician Wyclef Jean, who worked with Jolie on a relief effort in Haiti. "Because you see Angelina, the angel. It doesn't get any better than that." The magazine didn't forget her boyfriend Brad Pitt, or her two children, either. People named the globe-trotting Jolie-Pitt clan the "World's Most Beautiful Family."
Heavily-pregnant Jolie is in Namibia, awaiting the birth of her child at an African resort. The actress broke her silence on Wednesday from her African hideaway, but she wasn't just talking babies or Brad Pitt. Jolie, who’s trip to Namibia has sparked a blaze of interest in the international media, took time to promote one of her favorite causes: boosting educational opportunities for the world's poor.
Jolie participated in a teleconference Wednesday with British finance minister Gordon Brown and Gene Sperling, top White House economic adviser in the Clinton administration and currently the U.S. director of the Global Campaign for Education. "I am really thrilled to have this opportunity...to bring this to the forefront of people's minds this week," she said. "On a rare occasion, I am really thanking the press because this is so important." Brown recently announced that Britain would boost its spending on the project by an additional $15 billion over the next 10 years, and challenged the other nations in the Group of Seven, including the United States, to match that contribution. Jolie said she became involved in the cause, because "many things make it so personal to me."
She and Pitt have seen their Namibian hotel besieged by paparazzi photographers eager for pictures of the couple's expected child. Contradicting reports that she's due to pop any day now, Angelina Jolie has delivered the news that she's not quite eight months pregnant. That means anxious shutterbugs can expect another full month of dodging Namibian officials, not to mention Jolie and Brad Pitt's aggressive security goons, if they want any chance of capturing the money shot of the most important and beautiful baby ever to be born, ever. Jolie announced her due date in an interview with NBC, scheduled to air Thursday on Today and Sunday on Dateline, during which she confirmed that she knows her baby's sex, but isn't telling. The actress also spoke about her relationship with Pitt for the first time, calling it "one of those funny things that just happens," but stating that it isn't really something she discusses, even with her beau. "I don't talk about our--my relationship in public," Jolie said, according to excerpts released to USA Today. "But we also don't talk about it at home."
Also making the "Beautiful People" list, which until this year was limited to 50: Halle Berry, Julia Roberts, George Clooney, Scarlett Johansson, Kirstie Alley, Ryan Seacrest and University of Southern California quarterback Matt Leinart. All 26 spokesmodels of the NBC game show "Deal or No Deal" were also chosen.
Between her charity work, acting and raising two kids with another on the way, it's no wonder the Mr. and Mrs. Smith star calls her life "very full"--not that she's complaining. To her many fans across the world, Angelina Jolie is quite intrigued & complex. She is the daughter of renowned actor Jon Voight, with whom she has a tumultuous relationship. She was married to the eccentric Billy Bob Thornton, but they divorced after his lifestyle allegedly didn't mesh with her priority to be a mother. The actress has repeatedly been linked to her costars, including Colin Farrell in Alexander and Brad Pitt in Mr. and Mrs. Smith. And Jolie consistently fills the number one spot in various magazine polls for the sexiest woman of the year, in the world, or, for that matter, the universe.
This beautiful woman with a beautiful heart has a will to go out to Africa and spend weeks there just helping out and understanding what life is like over there. In Jolie’s own words, “Love one person, take care of them until you die. You know, raise kids. Have a good life. Be a good friend. And try to be completely who you are. And figure out what you personally love. And like go after it with everything you've got no matter how much it takes.” Hats off to you lady.
