When the Director of Brightwater, Mairead Fleming was asked- which is the best place to emigrate, her answer was spontaneous- Canada. She said that if at any point of time, she needed to emigrate, she would certainly move to Canada.
The recommendation to immigrate to Canada by Fleming is due to the fact that she is extremely satisfied with the sheer wealth and opportunities for jobs available in the country, even when the opportunities are drying in other parts of the world due to the recession.
She said that the recession hasn’t had huge effects on Canada like has been the case with Ireland and the UK. She also commended over the stability of the banking sector in the country.
Fleming said that opportunities for accountants are great which is a really good news for people who have earlier worked in the “big four”, but couldn’t or didn’t had their contracts renewed.
Stephen McLarnon, Dublin’s Working Abroad fair organizer, said that at the moment here is heck lot of interest of Irish people in Canada, more so when it comes to white-collar workers.
McLarnon said that Patrick Binns, the Canadian Ambassador to Ireland, has spoken in detail over the requirement of Canada for over 200,000 skilled immigrants.
