Only Biblical Names For Gwyneth’s Children

Oscar winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow and Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin have been blessed with their second child, a boy. The child has been christened Moses Martin. A spokeswoman from the office of Paltrow's publicist Stephen Huvane told reporters that the baby was delivered over the weekend in New York and that both the mother and child were doing fine. |

The couple have a 23 month year old daughter Apple, who will be celebrating her third birthday with the newest entrant in the family on May 14. The spokeswoman did not give out any details about the child’s birth time or weight, but said that they family must be ecstatic with birth of their second child. Paltrow had expressed surprise when people had questioned her about her daughter’s name been Apple. She appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show in 2004 and said "It conjured such a lovely picture for me you know, apples are so sweet and they're wholesome and it's biblical and I just thought it sounded so lovely and clean." She added that it had been Chris’ suggestion to name her Apple and it seems this time too her rock star husband has been thinking a lot. Paltrow's mother, actress Blythe Danner, told People magazine in January, "We love unusual names in the family." Paltrow received the Academy award for the best actress for her role in the movie “Shakespeare In Love” in 1998. She married Chris Martin in a secret ceremony in December 2003, in Southern California. Paltrow acknowledged her pregnancy this January only after months of speculation, when actor Lou Diamond Philips introduced her as a pregnant woman. This was after the screening of her movie Proof. Diamonds inquired further asking, “How far along are you?” To which Paltrow replied “Far enough along to feel very cumbersome.” Paltrow, 33 and Martin, 29 will be a busy couple for sometime now as they tend to their bundle of joy. As usual, the press is going to be heads over heels to get the first shot of baby Moses. Well Mr. Martin Jr. your journey in the glamour world has just begun, better strap up. |
