The baby was delivered by Caesarean section yesterday in Los Angeles, weighing 10 pounds, 9 ounces. Hargitay's publicist, Leslie Sloane Zelnik, said, "Mother and baby are doing wonderfully. She is ecstatic, over the moon." 42-year-old Hargitay married 38-year-old Hermann in August 2004. It is reported the baby was a week overdue but Zelnick did not confirm or deny that. The actress won a Golden Globe last year for NBC’s “Law & Order: SVU.” Her mother, blonde screen siren Jayne Mansfield, died in a car crash in 1967. Hargitay’s father is former bodybuilder Mickey Hargitay. |
