Mumbai -- India's leading construction and engineering company Larsen & Toubro Ltd, (L&T) Monday reported 80 increase in its profit at Rs.6.04 billion for the third quarter of 2006-07.
The company's gross sales from operations during the quarter ending in December stood at Rs.42 billion as against Rs. 37.42 billion for the corresponding quarter last year.
The share of its revenue from international operations constituted 19 percent of the gross revenue it said in a statement.
The company's engineering and construction (E&C) segment reported significant growth in order booking which posted an increase of 26 percent at Rs.81.72 billion for the period.
The segment's revenue for the third quarter was Rs.31.60 billion as against Rs. 29.51 billion for the same period last fiscal.
