Jolie's mother no more

New York -- Hollywood star Angelina Jolie's mother Marcheline Bertrand has died after a long battle with cancer.

According to a statement released by Jolie's manager, Bertrand died Saturday at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. She had been suffering from ovarian cancer for seven-and-a-half years, reports Sheeraz Hasan, founder of www.Hollywood.tv.

Jolie, along with her partner Brad Pitt and her older brother James, was reportedly at the hospital with Bertrand when she died.

Jolie is the daughter of Bertrand and actor Jon Voight. The couple divorced when the actress was a toddler and Bertrand raised Jolie and her brother.
