Las Vegas -- Singer Michael Jackson is planning a spectacular musical comeback with a Las Vegas extravaganza that he hopes will overshadow his child molestation trial, said media reports.
Jackson flew into to the US gambling capital on a private jet with his three children over the weekend, The Las Vegas Review Journal reported Tuesday. It also said that he had bought a new residence in the city.
The paper quoted local promoter Jack Vishna as saying that Jackson had ended 18 months of self-imposed exile in Europe and that the singer "is poised to return to the top of the entertainment world soon".
Though Jackson has often been reported to be in financial straits, he had enough money to go on a shopping spree at Caesars Palace here.
He is reportedly suing his former accountants, claiming they withdrew $2.5 million a year from his bank accounts but did not properly pay his bills.
The lawsuit filed last week in Los Angeles alleges negligence and breach of fiduciary duty and asks for unspecified damages and for an accounting of payments the defendants received for services.
