It's a Baby Girl for Brad and Angelina
Actress Angelina Jolie has given birth to a baby daughter fathered by Brad Pitt on Saturday in Namibia, Africa.
They have named the baby - Shiloh Nouvel Jolie Pitt – which means "His Gift" in Hebrew.
Jolie already has two adopted children from Ethiopia and Cambodia and is a frequent visitor to Africa.
The baby's arrival has been the subject of intense press speculation in recent months, which forced the superstar couple to move to Africa for privacy. The new parents, along with kids Maddox and Zahara have been staying at a luxury resort in Namibia since April. Green cloth screens mask the beach resort where they are staying and bodyguards and Namibian security have kept a tight cordon around the family.
Jolie and Pitt met while filming Mr and Mrs Smith and soon after Pitt divorced his wife Jennifer Aniston.
Jolie, 30, was married before to Billy Bob Thornton and Jonny Lee Miller.
The actress is also serving as goodwill ambassador for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees.
Last week, the Namibian government said foreign journalists wishing to cover the birth must have written permission from Pitt and Jolie to enter the country and obtain a work permit, People reported.
The new girl is the couple's first biological child.
The loved-up stars asked Namibian Governor Samuel Nuuyoma to pick a name for their child, approaching him at a dinner event shortly after they arrived in his district, Erongo, several weeks ago.
Pitt didn't attend the premiere of his latest film, Babel, in Cannes, releasing a statement explaining his absence due to the imminent birth.
"With the imminent arrival of the newest addition to our family, I'm unable to join Alejandro (Gonzalez Innaritu), Cate (Blanchett) and Gael Garcia Bernal and the rest of the cast and crew in introducing the film," the statement read.
The birth came a little more than a month after another blockbuster delivery: a girl born to Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.
