Indian worker found dead in Bahrain

Dubai -- The body of an Indian worker was found hanging with his legs tied at his workplace in Bahrain.

C. Palanichami, 28, from Tamil Nadu, was found dead at around 12.30 p.m. Monday by one of his colleagues, the Gulf Daily News reported. His body also had injury marks.

Palanichami came to Bahrain four months ago and had been working as a painter and carpenter in a workshop.

His body was taken to the Salmaniya Medical Complex in Manama for post-mortem.

Indian Ambassador to Bahrain Balkrishna Shetty said he was aware of the tragedy but would comment only after the post-mortem report came.
