Sydney -- An Indian tourist in Brisbane has been sent to jail by a court on charges of sexually assaulting two women in a park.
The 26-year-old Indian, who cannot be named under Queensland law, was on a tourist visa. He hoped to migrate to Australia.
The Indian, who faced a Brisbane magistrate's court Friday, was charged with five offences including two sexual assaults and one of assuming the designation of a police officer, according to the Australian newspaper.
"These are very serious offences against a woman with young children and a school girl," the judge said in his ruling. The court turned down a bail request by the Indian.
