Hoffman and Blanchett to direct plays in Australia

London -- Oscar winning actors Philip Seymour Hoffman and Cate Blanchett are set to direct stage plays for the Sydney Theatre Company in Australia next year.

According to contactmusic.com, Hoffman will direct the world premiere of "Riflemind", written by Blanchett's husband Andrew Upton, while the actress will direct David Harrower's "Blackbird".

Hoffman's "Riflemind" will star Hugo Weaving.
