D'mas bags jewellery design award

New Delhi -- Jewellery brand D'damas has bagged the best design award at the just concluded Jewellers Circular Keystone (JCK) show here.

D'damas got the Gold Souk Fashion Show and Design Award for a stunning pendant design.

The National Institute of Jewellery Design and Technology finished a close second for their gold bangle design, in which motifs were used with enamel.

The third prize went to Bright Circle Jewellery Private Limited for their earring, designed with platinum and diamonds.

The show was organised by Reed Exhibitions India. Contemporary designs, with an ethnic touch, were invited for the awards.

The designs were presented at a fashion show. Top models Noyonika Chatterjee, Joey Mathews and Tina Chatwal walked the ramp.

Sandra Merchant, Managing Editor, Solitaire, Alessandra Meda, Editor, Vogue, Haresh Zhaveri, Gem and Jewellery Promotion Council and G.J. Pillai, Director, Gold Souk judged the event.

D'damas won a trip for five days to Las Vegas along with a chance to display their winning design at JCK Las Vegas-2007. The second and the third winners will receive coverage in Vogue Gioiello and Solitaire International and a product showcase at JCK Las Vegas-2007.

Dave Bonapart, group vice president, JCK Event, Reed Exhibitions gave away the awards.
