Canadian province, New Brunswick has launched a new and aggressive strategy in order to attract more and more number of immigrants as it faces the challenge of a declining population.
Greg Byrne, the Population Growth Secretariat Minister, said that the strategy is aimed at reversing the population decline and increase the population by 6,000 by the end of the year 2009 and by 25000 by 2015.
For the first time in the history of the province, the average age has moved beyond forty and a high demand for skills in industries like manufacturing, finance, electronics and IT is making it easier for immigrants to move to the east coast province.
An expert on Canadian immigration and the manager of Global Visas Canadian office, Roxana Lungu, helps hundreds of students, temporary foreign workers, skilled workers and experienced entrepreneurs to move to this place every year.
All those who are willing to enter Canada on a Canadian student visa get immensely benefited from the expert advice and assistance in the complete application process.
Roxana said that it can take a little more than three months for some people to come in on a student visa and after two to three years in education, they are experienced in the Canadian way of life, which is considered to be a key selection factor while applying for the Canadian Experience Class program. She said that the Canadian government’s objective is to integrate the immigrants into the society in a better way.
Minister of Employment and Immigration in Alberta, Hector Goudreau, came to the UK in July in order to encourage workers who fit skills and experience criteria to apply for fast-tracked visa process.
Mr. Goudreau said that in spite of the global credit crisis, the economy over there has constantly been growing and has remained steady. He added that they are looking forward to attract more than 50,000 foreign workers within the next year itself.
Goudreau said that while he was in Britain that somebody from London might be able to sell their small flat and move to Alberta where with the same amount they can easily buy a detached house with a huge backyard and huge front yard.
He said that the cost of living is considerably less in Alberta than in the UK. He also said that salaries there are comparable or even higher then that in UK. Therefore, anyone who moves there would be able to make money and also set aside.
