Canada has given the charge of processing the Canadian immigration visas in the hands of private companies in China. John Ryan, an immigration consultant in Toronto holds the opinion that all the companies of China must be licensed by the Government of China as it leaves the sensitive details of the applicants at the dispense of Chinese government.
Canadian government has outsourced its clerical work of processing application to an international company, VFS Global based in India, which works in conjugation with a Chinese company. The task of VFS is mainly to collect and process applicants’ information and fix interviews with embassy staff, but the final decision of acceptance of application is always in hand of Canadian embassy. The documents of applicants are handled very carefully, but it also is mentioned on a website of VFS that Canada Visa Application Centre will not take the ownership in case of theft, accident or natural calamities.
Karen Shadd-Evelyn, a spokeswoman for Citizenship and immigration Canada has told that security is the utmost priority while choosing for a service provider. VFS is a service-provider of China for UK, Italy, Germany, Belgium, India and France and is very efficient in keeping the privacy of applicants intact. VFS also provides services for UK, Italy, Germany, India, France and Belgium.
