Shah Moayedi called the police when he suddenly realized that his wife has vanished.
The officers got the crime evidence that was a note written in the handwriting of his wife stating that she was leaving him. She wrote that Mr. Moayedi is very nice but was actually below her expectation and so she decided to leave him. But what was the crime? Actually she used the marriage to get into Canada.
This was two years ago. Now Mr. Moayedi recalls and says that he felt that she was the only lady made for him and she was her soul mate. Ha says that he still feels humiliated on that account. The Canadian immigration officers say that foreigners are using marriages to creep into Canada and the trend is increasing. People are using all the possible tricks to get into Canada and this can bring the whole immigration system into disrepute.
Meanwhile the federal government has formed a working group of immigration officials to make sure that it can keep a watch on fraud marriages. Minister of citizenship and immigration Diane Finley after her return from the trip of India said that the issue of marriages for the sake of conveniences and fraud marriages very seriously. She further said that the government would make sure that only the legitimate immigrants move to Canada. People who move to Canada as new immigrants in the spousal category are more than 20000 every year.
According to the Canadian immigration lawyers and concerned politicians most of the fraud marriages are perpetrated in countries like India, China and Vietnam. Therefore, it can be assumed that in the current investigations these are the countries are been targeted although the government is in no mood to reveal the names of the countries. There are many cases in which a Canadian with good intentions marries a foreigner and is later betrayed by the same but cases are also found in which both parties are equally fraud. It is also known that the Indian officers are also very worried regarding the rise in the fraud marriages in recent years. In the year 2004, a serial matchmaker was arrested in India who used to take large amounts from women families for marrying them to his brothers in Canada.
