Another blockbuster ready to release-“OMKARA”

Directed by Vishal's Bharadwaj, Omkara is set against the pastoral scenery of western Uttar Pradesh and Viveik essays Cassio's character who is called Kesu Phirangi.The promos of Omkara are out and those who have seen the rushes of the film are raving about Viveik and predict that he would be the surprise package of the movie.

In the film, there is a sequence where Viveik's character twangs the guitar.

According to film director Vishal Bharadwaj, “Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan's transformation into a repellant political operator for an Indian take on Shakespeare's classic ``Othello'' was no easy task.”

Khan changed his image from lover boy to master manipulator in this film. Obviously this is going be very much difficult assignment for him and as well as for his fans too.

Director Vishal Bharadwaj said in an interview published on Tuesday, “Khan reportedly yellowed his teeth and faked a limp to the play the central character, the manipulative Iago -- an unlikely makeover needed to unsettle audiences who see ``Omkara.” He further added in his words that, “Khan had to look like a villain and a political goon to make the film work. “ I wanted people to get scared after seeing him on screen”, the director said amusingly.

Among Khan's recent hits were sugary romances such as last year's ``Salaam Namaste''.

Until Omkara, ``he had this lover-boy image. So it was a bold step for him to break the image,'' Bharadwaj said.

This film also stars renowned Bollywood artists Ajay Devgan, Kareena Kapoor and Bipasha Basu, Viveik Obrai.

Viveik is definitely someone to watch out for in Omkara.Actor Viveik Oberoi is back again with his perfectionist zeal in his ready-to-release Omkara, an alteration of Shakespeare's Othello, for which he learnt to play the guitar.

Bharadwaj is quite impressed with Viveik's earnestness towards his work. He added in his speech that, "Viveik is a very dedicated actor. He started learning to play the guitar only to get into character for the sequence in the film. He has done a fabulous job in Omkara,"

To this Viveik replied, “I would rather let my work speak for itself. I am looking forward to Omkara. Vishal Bharadwaj has an excellent vision."

The other big buzz is that he is coming back with Ajay Devgan with whom he shared incredible screen chemistry in Company. Viveik worked with Ajay in Mani Ratnam's Yuva too and shows highest regard for his co-star and treats Ajay like his elder brother. When asked about Saif Ali Khan, Viveik said that the actor is mind-blowing.

Now the most glamorous and sexiest Bipasha plays Viveik's love interest in 'Omkara'If the film clicks, it will add another feather in Bipasha's cap even as she rides high on the triumph of 'Corporate'. Bipasha has item number 'Bidee jalai re' in the film, which she says is her favourite.Bipasha told in her speech that it is a raw, sexy and sensuous song. It's very realistically picturised. I had to lip sync for it. And I did not know if I could pull it off convincingly. Viveik and Ajay (Devgan) helped me out.
"I am wearing a 'ghagara' and 'choli' in the song for the first time. There were 200 guys with beard and moustaches around me. It was scary. Initially, I was very nervous but I was fine after rehearsals."

Bipasha's first reaction after reading the script was tremendously dazzling.

She said, “All the characters in the film are very exciting and interesting. I want to do different kinds of films."
Like her co-stars, Bipasha admits that Vishal knows his craft well and there was no scope for any confusion on the sets.

The movie is opening July 28 and Viveik is confident that Omkara will complete a hat trick of hits with Ajay since Company and Yuva.
