Amendments in rules for Visa to Singapore

Singapore High Commission has advised that they will be scanning each and every visa application for the signatures and information given in the visa forms.

All details must be filed by the applicant themselves and also signed by them. No visa application will be processed or visa applied incase these 2 MANDATORY requirements are not satisfied.

Moreover Singapore High Commission will reject/refuse visa applications incase they find discrepancy in the visa forms and they will also not issue visas on same day basis if the application is refused.

UK Visa Update:
W.E.F. 31st March 2008 VFS UK will not accept any visa submission without prior appointment. To schedule an appointment an email must be sent email VFS between 8.00am and 3.00pm, Monday - Friday with the following details

• Name and Surname of the applicant
• Passport number
• Visa category
• Visa Application Centre that you would like to visit
• Preferred date and time (Please provide 3 options)

VFS will then send an email the appointment. The applicant needs to print this out and carry it to the Visa Application Centre on the appointed day & time.

Effective 1st April, 2008, the UK visa fee will be revised to Rs.5200/= for stay less than six months and the long term and work permit visa fee is revised to Rs.16400/=.
