Hopeless

The subject is tropical. The direction is slack. So that what could have been an incisive account of illegal immigration becomes a bunch of blotchy episodes bungled by an ensemble cast of forgettable.

A group of 200 people from different parts of India begin their journey to England on fake visas. And the route they take is the notorious ‘kabootar’ track which sees them trekking through cold Ukrainian jungles and unfriendly Russian snow fields, before they get embroiled with the Russian mafia and end up on an ill fated boat to Malta. And oh! That’s not the end of their problems. There’s a broken romance too and a brush with liquid p[plutonium.

Wonder where this Kaafila is heading? For, it definitely seems to have lost its way.
