Jhoom Barabar Jhoom is the story of two strangers who accidentally meet at a train station in London, and end up having more than just a friendly chat.

Rikki Thukral (Abhishek Bachchan) a Punjabi from Bhatinda living in London meets Alvira Khan (Priety Zinta), a Pakistani who takes pride in being a British citizen. Both are already engaged and have come to pick their fiancées, but a delay causes them to wait in a local café and gives them a chance to bump into each other.

The two jell together instantly, and end up sharing stories of how they met their partners Anaida (Lara Dutta) and Steve (Bobby Deol). One incident leads to another, as time flies like a bird. By the end of their encounter, Rikki and Alvaida are in love. Although the two have contrasting personalities, with Rikki being a suave street smart charmer and Alvaida being the pretty royalty types, love binds their emotions together.

Jhoom Barabar Jhoom is a young and fresh story that talks about the magic of falling in love. Spontaneous emotions are uncontrollable and two strangers discover this by just sharing a conversation over some coffee. With some rollicking music and an urban glam appeal, Jhoom Barabar Jhoom promises to rock the audience.
